Summary: Sophie and Alan are gracious and fantastic hosts. They were incredibly responsive to our questions and needs and even shared places to see and eat. Sophie was so kind to offer to make a reservation for us at her favorite restaurant that served local Lyon-style food. The home is a newly, tastefully renovated two story, with 2 bedrooms upstairs (1 queen and 2 twin beds), with plenty of room to spread out luggage. The kitchen was spacious enough to cook a meal, make coffee, and sit and relax. At night, open the windows and the back door to enjoy a cool air breeze. Parking was never an issue as we were always able to find it along the street. Everything you need from the market, to coffee/patisserie, to tram/bus, to restaurants are within a 5-10 minute walk, with Lyon old-town center being roughly ½ hour away. Given this was a little outside the normal tourist areas, it would be beneficial to learn a little French, which added to the charm of exploring Lyon.
