Summary: To start with the good: of the four employees I encountered, one was professional, courteous, and helpful. But my stay and experiences were largely infuriating. To start, I needed to extend my stay a few days after my initial booking. So I messaged the hotel about this. They didn’t answer. I booked the extra night hoping that since they write “stay extensions require a new booking” and that it was still multiple weeks in advance, they’d combine the stays. They did not—I had to shuffle rooms. And both showers had black and pink molds in places. I arrived on the check-in day at 14:05, knowing it was possible the room wouldn’t be ready. However, the employee said I would have to pay 10 Euros to check in a bit early (not that the room wasn’t ready). I wanted room service one day because there were no coffee mugs, but rather than replace the coffee packets or give me mugs, they simply took the trash and my towels that I had hung up to reuse. They didn’t replace the towels. My key card stopped working twice despite keeping it away from anything magnetic. One night I was locked out at 22:35 and there was no one at the desk despite the fact that someone should have been there until 23:00. They leave a number to contact but I was unable to call for whatever reason and needed to enlist Hotels.com’s help. Finally: they have a sign noting they reward people who book directly (early check-in, late check-out, etc.) and it’s clear they do not want to accommodate people who book here.
