Travel Purpose: business

Positive: Friendly staff at the key handover. This is carried out by a key service, which is staffed by one (!) person on the day of arrival and looks after more or less 50 vacation apartments. So better bring plenty of patience with you. Location is convenient and close to the ski area, the view goes to the center of the resort, with some nice high mountain scenery behind the parking lot.

Negative: Since I suspect that several apartments are rented here (otherwise I can not explain the positive reviews of other guests): I am referring to apartment 505. - It was not our first time in this establishment, but we experienced a massive downgrade this year: Last year at the same booking time (high season) we had an identical apartment here, everything was a straight 10 in the rating, with all amenities your heart desired (raclette, oven, dishwasher, tasteful interior design, internet, excellent beds and comfortable seating), but unfortunately this year we got a real dump for paying even more money. Well, the apartment had been repainted and superficially cleaned quite well (but not very well, and the smell was a bit unpleasant, something between old cheese and cat urine), but otherwise the furnishings were probably from 1986 when this resort took up its services. The beds were all dreadful, worn-out mattresses, small, we hardly got a wink of sleep. The seating furniture was also unbearable, wickerwork between four buttock-pinching tips, as was the couch, latter not offering any rest. All in all, not a place to retreat to. The kitchen was quite o.k. equipped, we could eat well, although oven and raclette (which we have experienced in France as standard equippment so far) were missing. Also strange was the combination of only espresso cups and filter coffee machine. We then drank instant coffee from water glasses. Plates were generally very cheap. All ok if you are on a budget, but we were asked to pay very decently here and got far less than the year before. Felt like a rip-off. Further drawbacks: We were informed that we had to pay 55 Euro for the cleaning service, but in reality it was 70 Euro, as the rates were raised by the key service. Also a bit unfortunate: we were informed beforehand that we had to bring covers and sheets, but we were not told that there were only two comforters, otherwise only scratchy woolen blankets. So better bring everything with you.
