## Emplacement
Demi-Quartier is a commune of Haute-Savoie, in the region Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, bordering the prestigious resorts of Megève, in the south, and Combloux, in the north. Its name could come from the shape of its territory, which evokes a crescent moon, or simply recall that it was part of a seigniory. But this is not the only originality of Demi-Quartier: the parish was separated from Megève in the 18th century, but administrative links were kept. Thus, the town hall of Demi-Quartier is located on the territory of its neighbor and the two localities are co-owners of the church and the war memorial of Megève.
